The
Gene Poole is a play on words. My name is Thom
Poole, and I have the genealogy bug. In my research, for my complex
family tree, I feel that I have come across many of the pitfalls and uncovered
many of the unusual sources of information that will benefit you and your
genealogy.
I am a professional, Chartered Marketer by trade, a profession that requires attention to detail in the research that I do. I have transferred that to my genealogical studies.
Not satisfied with having the bug myself, I developed a training course to teach others how to undertake genealogy, and set up a local genealogy club in Fernhurst, West Sussex. I am now based in Northamptonshire, with access to much of England and Wales from here.
I have also undertaken numerous assignments to help others uncover their family trees, going back many more generations than they expected, and finding living relatives they never knew they had.
I am now offering these services on a wider basis, to help more people find out about their past. My grandfather died without passing information on, so I have had to piece things together myself. Don't let that happen to you.
